What started out as a curiosity about a tasty drink turned into a lifestyle that we live and breathe. So much so, we searched out jobs in the industry and ended up working within it.
From training, to sales, to buying and roasting we threw ourselves in fully. It is something we are passionate about, and we want to pass it on. That is what CLASS is.
We educate and run events for everyone, no matter their prior coffee knowledge. We want you to taste some spectacular coffee, learn a thing or two, and most of all have fun.
We never forget where we came from and we'll happily tell you about the time we asked questions which would now seem obvious. That's why we ensure our sessions are for everyone; from the coffee curious, to the baby barista, to the World Championship Judge. We'll always talk your language.

Hi I'm Arran, a proud Geordie, husband and father.
I started this venture because I wanted to bring some of the best coffee currently in the UK to the North East, coffee we don't normally get a chance to try. And that's what CLASS is to me, a fun place to learn and slurp some spectacular coffee.
I've been a barista trainer, training manager, coffee buyer, roaste and consultant. I've had experience across a spectrum of roles and have a wide range of knowledge and experience. Most of all, I enjoy passing on the knowledge I've learnt. The more we know at our end of the supply chain, the more justice our product gets. This then benefits everyone in the chain, all the way back to the farmer.
